Anna Dungey Physiotherapist LinkedIn profile

I graduated from Otago University in 2005, and worked for a few years before taking on and completing my masters degree in 2012.

I worked for a short time in a hospital setting before coming to private practice.

What I love about physiotherapy is the opportunity to help someone learn about how to move and use their body more effectively so that they can get back to doing what they love.

My interests are personal growth, yoga, Pilates. I weave these into my work with clients where relevant. I teach group fitness and compete in triathlon so draw on my experience in these settings to assist clients with their technique and planning.

I'm an avid consumer of podcasts on mindset, health, and wellness, and love to chat about anything in this area.

Over the years of physiotherapy work in Christchurch, and my own injury management journey I have developed a network of allied health professionals who I have worked with, or seen for treatment. I admire and respect these people who are amazing at what they do, and can confidently refer you to them if appropriate.

Hi, I'm Sharon Jagger

Anna Dungey Physiotherapist LinkedIn profile

I completed my Physiotherapy degree in 2001 (in the UK) and since then have worked pretty
much anywhere you would find a physio! I have worked as a Physiotherapist in hospitals,
rehabilitation centres, business offices, private practice, sports injury clinics, rugby fields and
even an aerospace engineering factory.

I specialised in Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic rehabilitation early in my career and love
helping people get back to activities they enjoy, whether this be wandering the farmers markets
or completing their next adventure race. I am interested in not just treating the injury but starting
at the foundation. I will assess posture, muscle balance and analyse movement patterns to
improve recovery, help prevent future issues and to enhance performance.

I enjoy treating a broad range of conditions but have extra experience in post surgical rehab.

I am trained in Clinical Pilates and will use these skills within treatment if appropriate. I also
have specific training in ante/post natal Pilates. I have a passion in helping ladies postnatally
(even years after) get back to exercise safely and confidently.

Outside of work I have 2 young boys that keep me busy, I love mountain biking, hiking,
snowboarding and adventuring outdoors.
